Just a reminder for anyone who lives in TN this weekend Aug 6 - 8 is tax free weekend. This year's tax-free holiday weekend begins at 12:01 a.m on Friday, August 6th and ends Sunday, August 8th at 11:59 p.m. Tax-free items include clothing with a price of $100 or less per item, school and school art supplies with a price of $100 or less per item and computers with a price of $1,500 or less.

Shoes.com is having a 10% off sale site wide right now. Also with promo code BTSSHOES10 you can get 15% off, and free shipping. I'm not sure if this code will work with the 10% off but it's always worth a try. 

Another great way to stay in style is to do it yourself. Got an old pair of jeans, glitz them up with a bit of glitter, or gems. Got an old pair of shoes, or flipflops? Add some glitz to them as well. Add some jewels to a belt and you have a new look. The possibilities are endless!

A few ideas with jeans:

Add paint to them - just splash it around where ever you like. It's supposed to look messy, so there's not really a way to mess them up.

Add patches - You can buy iron on patches that you can stick on the back pockets or knees for a really cool look.

Trim your jeans with beads or gems. Go around pocket edges, down the seam, or create a pattern or initials on the back pockets.

Turn them into capris and add some flare at the bottom.

Want them to have that worn look that cost a lot of money? Get out the sandpaper and rub them down!

Well with the school year approaching there are many great sales going on right now, at a lot of stores. So I will start off with my daughters personal favorite:

This in itself is a great deal! 2 Graphic tees for $15! I'm all over that one. That is only $7.50 each. These shirts are normally $17.50, though you do have to buy 2 to get the deal. Of course you can mix and match them up.

Hello, and welcome to my new blog. I created this blog to help everyone understand the world of fashion teen, but also to help you stay up to date on sales at those high dollar stores all of our teens love. My daughter is a fashion diva, wanting it all and wanting it now. But as with many families in this economy it's not always easy to do. I decided to share with all of you my journey of getting the best deals at those stores. Not everyone thinks Abercrombie & Fitch or Hollister are expensive, but in this family it is.
